CAM Menopause Mat Theory and Practical – Singapore (Authentic Movement)
Taught by Audrey D’cotta
Description
Menopause Movement Theory
Menopause Movement Theory examines the physiological, structural, and emotional transitions that occur during the menopausal phase of a woman’s life, reframing it as a period of renewal and resilience rather than decline. Through The Carolyne Anthony Method’s four guiding principles—Regulate, Release, Realign, Restore™—participants will explore how breathwork, fascial release and nervous system regulation can restore vitality and function.Â
What You’ll Learn
Menopause Movement Theory is suitable for movement educators seeking to understand this complex stage with both depth and compassion. Bridging traditional knowledge with contemporary fascia and nervous system science, this menopause course focuses on cultivating endurance, adaptability, and strength through movement that supports the changing body, honors fluctuating energy levels, and enhances longevity.
This in-person menopause course will allow you to:
- Understand the hormonal, anatomical and fascial changes that accompany menopause.
- Recognize the effects of estrogen and progesterone loss on bone density, muscle mass, and connective tissue.
- Use The Carolyne Anthony Method’s guiding principles to design programs that improve resilience and endurance.
- Apply progressive, fascia-based movement for joint hydration, elasticity, and functional flow.
- Utilize breath regulation and pacing to support the autonomic nervous system and emotional balance.
- Encourage clients to view menopause as an opportunity for transformation through mindful, empowered movement.
- Develop programs that blend strength, flexibility, and restorative practices to promote balance and vitality.

This practical course builds upon Menopause Movement Theory and applies its concepts to movement on the mat. Designed to meet the needs of the mature woman, this session focuses on re-establishing strength, balance, and mobility while cultivating calm through nervous-system regulation and fascial release.
Participants will learn to design safe and effective mat sequences that address the specific challenges of menopause—joint stiffness, loss of elasticity, changes in posture, pelvic floor sensitivity, and energy fluctuations. Using gentle yet progressive movement patterns, restorative breathing, and effective cueing, instructors will develop the ability to guide their clients toward ease, function, and renewed vitality.
This course embodies the principle that menopause is not an ending, but a reawakening—a time to train smarter, not harder, and to embrace movement as the key to lifelong empowerment.
